Prince William and Kate Middleton Marriage Ceremony

A Royal Wedding is a Marriage Ceremony concerning members of a royal family. Weddings involving senior members of the royal family are often perceived as vital occasions of state and attract important national and international attention. Westminster Abbey in London, United Kingdom has a long tradition as venue for royal weddings. On 16 November 2010, Clarence House broadcasted that Prince William, eldest son of the Prince of Wales (Prince Charles) would marry Kate Middleton, his long-time girlfriend, "in the spring or summer of 29th April, 2011, in London." They became engaged in October 2010 while on a private holiday in Kenya. William gave Middleton the engagement ring that his father had given to his (William) mother, Diana, Princess of Wales. The Ring is made up of 18 Carat white Gold Ring with large oval sapphire and 14 round diamonds.
